This indicates that the NVRAM is missing or damaged and cannot be recovered.  The reader would need to be sent in for repair with an RMA....

For HP reader we charge the dealer a $135 fee. If the end user is asking we cannot give them pricing information for HP units. If it is a HKII then it is fine....
