Can I convert a 5547 from a metal door to a wood door?
Unfortunately you can not.  The machining for the channel inside the device is different for a metal door than it is for a wood door.  A new device is required....

Can the 371L-BE be re-handed in the field?
Unfortunately this cannot be re-handed in the field.  A new trim would be needed with the correct handing....
