Levers may sag due to an incorrectly installed springcage or an incorrect springcage.
Mortise locks with a fixed (rigid) lever such as an L9080 will use a spacer on the rigid lever (outside) and a springcage on the active lever (inside).
The electrified functions (L9080EL/EU, LV9080EL/EU, L9090EL/EU, L9092EL/EU, L9094EL/EU) should be supplied with an active spring cage for both levers. When a spacer is installed on the outside lever of these functions the lever will droop since an active lever and requires a correctly installed spring cage to hold the lever in a horizontal position. See Figure 1 for the difference between the spacer and spring cage and for proper installation.
