Why would an LCN 8310-865 RF Receiver have a flashing "RED" light?

When the "RED" LED on the 8310-865 RF Receiver is blinking, it is receiving an RF signal (interference) from a non programmed device. When receiving this type of signal, it will not program correctly. The signal could be coming from a transmitter switch that is stuck on, or is wired N.C. (normally closed) when is needs to be wired N.O. (normally open) causing it to send a constant signal to the receiver. The signal may also be interference from another RF source near the receiver (walkie talkies, internet antenna, computer wiring, etc.).
