What will happen if the voltage on an L lock goes above the 26V maximum range?

Applies to L9090EL/EU, L9091EL/EU, L9092EL/EU, L9093EL/EU, L9094EL/EU, L9095EL/EU
Overvoltage will cause the lock to shut down for approximately 5 minutes to allow the circuitry to bleed off the excess voltage.  There is no way to speed up this process.

Applies to L9080EL/EU. L9082EL/EU
If left on continuous duty for long periods of time, the extra voltage and heat will degrade the circuit causing the lock to fail or behave erratically.  If the lock does not run continuous, the lock will still degrade faster than usual, but the effects may not be noticeable for a longer period of time.
