You can use Windows' "Hyper Terminal" to configure console port troubleshooting, set up a serial connection, and/or set up RS232 output on a biometric GT-400:
For the COM setting, go into the Control Panel and check the Device Manager. Under the "Configure" tab, set the following items:
Bits per second: 38400
Data Bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
Under the "Settings" tab,
Select "Terminal keys"
Select "Ctrl+H"
Emulation: "VT100"
