How do I enroll a user in HandNet for Windows?

In order to enroll a user in HandNet for Windows, you will need to:

- Log into HandNet for Windows (default login: username: 1234    password: new )
- From the menu at the top, click on User  -> Add new...
- The default enrollment is for a single user to verify with hand; "Special Enrollment" means that the user will only need their ID to verify (they still need to place their hand, but the reader will not check the hand image) -> click Next
- Input the user's name and ID number (between 1 and 65535)
(Note: any leading zero's in the ID number will be ignored by the reader, so 0001 is the same as 1)
Unless you have a special configuration, the upper limit of your ID number is 65535  -> click Next
- Select an access profile; if you select 'Never' the user will be enrolled, but will not be able to verify at the reader
- Select an authority level; when this is set to 'None' the user can use the reader only to verify; they will not have access to any of the hand reader's password menu's.
You can check  "Enable Limited Access" if you would like to setup temporary access, for example for contractors.
"Override the reader's reject threshold" is rarely used   -> click Finish

If you look in the Users window, you should see your newly added user(s) with a red circle to the left of their name.  This means that we have not enrolled a hand template associated with that user yet.

To enroll the hand template:
- Click on the globe icon across the top
- In the Network window, locate the name of the hand reader you are going to use for enrollment (this can be any hand reader with a green dot next to its name (status: Connected))
- Right-click on this reader name -> Enroll
- In the Enroll A User pop-up window, click on the down-arrow and select the username that needs an associated hand template
(make sure the user is ready and waiting at the reader)
- Click on "Enroll now";
The user should see "PLACE HAND" on the display and they have 30 seconds to place their hand in the reader.
The four LEDs should all light up.  When placing the hand, make sure you touch all the finger pins.
- The reader will prompt the user to remove and place hand again 2 more times
- You are done!
The red circle should have disappeared next to the user's name, in the Users' list
