Can you connect an external horn to a Chexit device?
Chexit devices shipped after 8-24-2015 with motor driven:
Use the Alarm Relay Contacts on Field Wiring Cable, blue and brown wires of the Chexit device.
Connect the blue wire to +24VDC (red wire on Field Wiring Cable) and connect the brown wire to positive side of the horn and negative side of the horn to ground (black wire on Field Wiring Cable)
Chexit devices shipped prior to 8-24-2015 with solenoid driven:
Use the external alarm contact, blue and brown wire on Chexit device.
Connect the blue wire to the red wire and connect the brown wire to positive side of the horn and negative side of the horn to ground (black wire).
