Can an electric strike be used with a surface vertical rod device on a fire-rated door?

The 6111 electric strike can be used on non-Fire-rated openings that are Less Bottom Rod (LBR) with Pullman Top Latch (use ES prefix when ordering device).
The device backset will change to match the centerline of the pocket of the electric strike

The Pullman Top Latch does not deadlock and is not fire rated.
The use of the Pullman Top Latch and LBR reduces the security of the opening.
If security of that opening is imporotant (like an exterior door) or if the opening is fire rated, the QEL option or Electric Unlocking trim should be considered.

Not for use in fire rated openings.
