Can a Chexit release delay time be changed in the field?

The release delay time for the Chexit is programmed into the Chexit module and cannot be changed in the field.

The ability to change the delay time is restricted by the UL listing of the device.

• The Chexit module and sign would need to be replaced to change the delay time of the Chexit device between 15 and 30 seconds.
• The complete Chexit device would need to be replaced to comply with UL in order to change the delay time to anything other than 15 or 30 seconds.
• Any release delay greater than 15 seconds will require approval from the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
• 0-60 second or Infinite delay can be ordered by putting the desired delay time in the device description (Ex. CX98EO US26D ## SEC DELAY, where ## represents the desired delay in seconds).
