Why is there an updated AD-Series Main Board Cover?

The original Inside Cover (Fig. 6 and Fig. 8) and the new Inside Covers (Fig. 7 and Fig. 9) are all compatible to the original Main PCB but only the new Inside Covers press on the tamper switch in the new REV F location (Rev F or higher).

These Inside Electronics Covers have a new “standoff” rubber bumper to press on the tamper switch lever in its new location. When the updated cover is seated properly, the new bumper will press the new Tamper Switch lever arm. These updated covers have already been phased into production since April 2011.
