Why doesn't my AD lock go into Construction Mode?

Out of the Box, or after a Factory Default Reset, all AD locks can be used in a "Construction Mode".

At launch ...

The AD-Series locks would accept the first card credential that is presented as the Construction Master Programming credential. (as designed)

With firmware package 1.2 (ADFwPkg1.2.ffp) ... released to production on 7-8-2010

From a factory default state:
All AD Locks have a construction mode accept keypad only units.

**Please note that KP ONLY readers cannot use construction mode**

**Also you can toggle the lock open with 135135# if construction mode is not desired.**

The on-line locks (AD300/AD400) now require the SCHLAGE button to be pressed (press and hold) while presenting the Construction Master Programming card credential.

This functional changes was necessary to provide a more deliberate method of Construction Master Programming card enrollment, thus preventing the "Accidental" enrollments that has been happening during initial lock testing just after installation.

Update your device firmware to the latest version to fix this early design / feature update
