Can I set up the CT5000 to remotely unlock a door?
Solution ID
71234
Resolution
The Request to Exit (RTX) switch input can be used as a remote door release.
A single-pole, single-throw switch (e.g., pushbutton switch) must be connected across the RTX input pins.
When the switch changes state (e.g., from open to closed), the CT5000 will change the state of the Strike relay.
Notes
After the switch returns to its normal state (RTX is deactivated), the door propped delay (if activated) and relock delay begin to count down as for any other door unsecured event.
The remote release feature is automatic; no SUS configuration is needed.
