Can the A series be installed on a 2 1/2" thick door?

As of 12/07/2020, the A series knob lock no longer has extended door thicknesses available.

The out-of-box door thickness range for the A lock is 1-3/8" - 1-7/8".

Notes

Previously, the D knob was available as alternative for thicker doors requiring a knob lock, but D knob has been discontinued.

Prior to 12/07/2020, the A series knob could be ordered for a non-standard door thicknesses ranging from 2" to 2-1/2" but only extended inside (EI). Extended outside (EO) and extended equally (EE) were not available.

The Schlage A series was discontinued in December, 2024 and is no longer available.
