Resolution
Starting with AD firmware package ADFwPkg 2.16.3 released 02/11/2011 and CO firmware package COFwPkg 1.20.0 released 3/29/2011; when a second FDR is initiated within 10 seconds of completion of the first FDR, a Level 2 FDR will be initiated.
Level 2 FDRs will clear the main controller AND will return the reader to its original out-of-the-box configuration, with the exception of the Days In Use counter and the Lock Type. This includes the AD-300 address, the Magstripe track as well as all custom security keys.
When a lock is re-classed (i.e. AD-200 re-classed to AD-400), a Level 2 FDR is automatically perform by the SUS ensuring that previous settings or old data is not retained in the lock or credential reader memory.
Notes
Additional Note regarding non-lock products, all non-lock products (i.e. PIM400, WRI400, CT5000, etc.) shall not differentiate between Level 1 and Level 2 FDR. Upon any FDR, these products will revert to complete out-of-the-box configuration with the exception of Days In Use counter which will not be modified by an FDR.
