How to determine the voltage used by a 6000 series electric strike?

For all models of 6000 series electric strike, except the 6300 & 6400, the color of the solenoid wires determine the voltage.

Black wires are used on 24VDC solenoids and yellow wires are used on 12VDC solenoids.

All voltages are +/- 10%.

Notes

We also have 16V and 28V solenoids, but they are rare.

Blue wires are a 16Vdc solenoid
White wires are a 28Vdc solenoid
