Pocket pivot hinges are mainly used in cross corridor applications where clear opening width is a factor.

  • For frames, pocket pivot hinges are a special hinge options which must be specified and ordered.
  • Pocket pivots can be installed in frames with a minimum 2" face. For frames with less than a 2" face, both special frame profiles and special anchors must be ordered.

Pocket pivots preps are available as a special hinge prep on the follows standard frames:

  • DE-Series Double Egress Frames - DE series hinge jambs are single rabbet profile the pocket pivot hinge can be prepared without profile changes.
  • F-Series Frames - can be prepared without profile changes.
  • NOTE - Either swing clear or conventional butt hinges can be installed on DE or F-Series frames without hinge prep modifications

Pocket pivots preps are available as a special hinge prep on the follows standard frames but special frame profile modifications and anchors are required:

  • FE-Series Double Egress Frames
  • NOTE - If swing clear hinges are on FE-Series double egress frames special frame profile modifications and anchors are required.
