The mounting screws for mortised meeting stiles projects into the door 5/8" past the cutout.
If the cutout is .790" deep, the screw will bottom out, or snug-up, at an overall depth of 1.415". The screw has an overall depth of 1.42" for the cutouts with a depth of .795"
