No, CO-Series products cannot be changed in the field from one credential type to another.

CO-Series locks can have their electronics (reader) replaced, however ONLY readers that are exact "like for like" replacements are allowed

A CO200 reader will not work on a CO250 lockset and a CO250 reader will not work on a CO200 lockset.

Notes

On CO-series, the electronics (reader) can be replaced if necessary, however the replacement MUST be the identical credential AND lock function.

When replacing a CO-Series reader, a Factory Default Reset (FDR) is required for the new electronics (reader) to be recognized and become functional.
