The RX monitors the push bar while the LX monitors the latch bolt of the exit device. A SS device has an LX and a key cylinder switch plus an emergency push bar signage.
The RX-LC and LX-LC (Low Current) switches are used for current up to 0.05 amps at 24 VDC and the standard RX and LX switches are used for current greater than 0.05 amps up to 0.5 amps at 24 VDC.
LR is the regular/ standard latch and PL is Pullman/ES (Electric Strike) latch for the Von Duprin 8827 exit device.
