Zero Adjustable Thresholds: Tips For Selecting The Correct Pieces

The Zero catalog (click HERE)  shows a variety of options for adjustable thresholds.

Selecting the proper size threshold

  1. Choose the overall height of the threshold that is needed. Zero adjustable thresholds come in heights of 3/8”, 1/2” and ¾”.
  2. Choose the appropriate threshold rest for the height and application
  3. Determine the width of the area that is being covered.
  4. Select the appropriate number and size of threshold plate for the needed width. Remember to take into consideration the width of the threshold rest as well. Tip: Keep the total number of pieces to a minimum. For example, if 6” is needed between the threshold rests, select the 6” threshold plate rather than two 3” threshold plates.
  5. Select the appropriate height connection plate if needed. If using a 3/8” tall threshold system, you will need the 1/8” high 469 connection plate. For ½” tall systems, use the ¼” tall 269 connection plate. Choosing the wrong height connection plate will cause the threshold to not be level.
