Wiring for the MR 10 and MR 20 magstripe readers

MR 10 and MR 20 Magstripe

 

White (Data 1 / Clock  Reader Output)    

Green (Data 0 / Data  Reader Output)   

Black (Ground -Power Return and DC / Signal Ground)    

Red (Power +5vdc or +12vdc depending on model ordered)   

Brown (LED Input Control)         

Orange (Buzzer Input Control or 2nd LED control, depending on switch settings) 


Dipswitches S1 = off   S2 = on  S3 = on  S4 = on 

(Settings for Clock/Data Magstripe Output, 1-Wire LED Control, Buzzer Functional)

Power the SMR10 and SMR20 with the correct input DC voltage! 
-   24vdc is NOT supported and will destroy the unit and is not covered under warranty!
-   Applying 12vdc on a 5vdc Unit will destroy the unit and is not covered under warranty! 
-   Providing 5vdc on a 12vdc unit will not work correctly!
