Will the MT20 read PIV cards?

Yes, the MT20 has the same PIV capability as the aptiQ and MT/MTK readers.  The only difference is the output format for enrollment use.  The MT20 will output 75-bit PIV data in hexadecimal by default and can output 200-bit when using CE-401-200 configuration card.  Hexadecimal and octal for Express, are the only output options at this time.

We do not know where companies who manufacture PIV cards get their stock from.  The three known companies that make PIV cards are Gemalto, Oberthur, and G&D.   Regardless of the card manufacturer, the AD201 and MT20 will read all of them because they all comply with FIPS.
