Will the Chexit device work as a standard panic if not hooked up to power?

The Von Duprin Chexit devices operate as a regular mechanical device if it is not electrically connected or if it is not turned on with key cylinder on the cover plate or disarmed with access control system.

  • Hex dogging key is not an option.
  • Optional, you may want to order a blank cover plate for the device
    • Cover plates we provide are for 4' device and need to be cut to length for 3' device.
    • 050133-finish (33A), 050109-finish (35A), 050588 (98) and 050589 (99) are the part numbers for blank cover plates.
