No, the CT5000 does not support FIPS PIV credentials.
Although the CT5000 is compatible with the aptiQ family of readers that are FIPS PIV compatible, the firmware of the CT5000 does not support that credential type.
Facilities that require FIPS PIV credential compatibility should use an AD201, AD301 or AD401 exit devices for perimeter doors.
WARNING: Schlage Express will allow PIV cards to be enrolled as a valid credential type and the card owners may then also be assigned and programmed into a CT5000 device type for access. When this occurs, the PIV card access attempt at the CT5000 will ALWAYS be denied. There is no warning to the site administrator to let them know the CT5000 access will be denied until the user is denied access at the door.
