Why rechargable batteries don't work on our Locks

Why rechargeable batteries can’t be used on our battery powered locks:

-Rechargeable batteries can’t be used on a fire rated door because it is a code violation and can explode.

-Rechargeable batteries drain faster then regular batteries and don’t deliver a steady voltage.

-Rechargeable batteries usually charge slightly over 6V, which is over voltage, and can damage the main board.
