The touchbar monitor switch or latch bolt monitor switch should only be activated AFTER the "armed" audible alert occurs.
If the unit is being tested with a jumper wire in place on the input terminals while arming the unit, there will be an approximate six-second delay of the alarm after the unit arms. If testing with a jumper wire, only apply the jumper wire after the "armed" beep occurs.
Likewise, if the activation switch is misadjusted such that there is a closure across the input wires prior to the alarm kit being armed, there will be a delay in the alarm sound once the unit is armed. Adjust the switch as needed, and make sure the correct two wires are being used from the input switch.
