Why is my Von Duprin Chexit device not lighting up or arming?

Devices were shipped from the factory with motor driven after 8-24-2015.

First confirm that you are using PS900 series (902,904,906 or 914) power supply.

     1. Measure the DC voltage at the twelve wire hardness and make sure 24VDC is presented at the connector.

     2. Make sure polarity of the voltage is correct. Red is positive and black is negative.

    3. If external input (INH) is not used (card reader, key switch, etc.) connect the green wire to red wire.

   4. If external inhibit is used make sure normally closed access control contact is connected between green and red wires on twelve wire connector.

   5. Make sure two wire connector from Chexit key switch is plugged into the Chexit module.

Devices were shipped from the factory with solenoid driven prior to 8-24-2015.

  First confirm that you are using a PS873 or PS914 power supply.

1. Measure the DC voltage at the ten wire hardness and make sure 24 VDC is presented at the connector.
2. Make sure the ten wire connector is plugged in with wires facing towards the door not towards the cover plate.
3. Makes sure polarity of the voltage is correct.  Red is positive and black is negative.
4. If external inhibit is not used (card reader, key switch, etc.) connect the green wire to white wire.
5. If external inhibit is used make sure normally closed access control contact is connected between green and white or green and red wires on ten wire connector.
