Why doesn't my (new) lock show up on the HHD?

- Make sure your HHD has a charged battery and that the current
   Schlage Utility Software (SUS) is running, and you have logged into it as Manager

- Make sure the USB cable is seated solidly, connect the USB cable from the HHD to the lock;
    on the lock, press the "Schlage" button 2 times within a second;
    check to see if your HHD shows "New Lock"

- If the lock does not show up  on the HHD, take the battery cover off of the HHD,
   and tap the Reset button that is recessed near the bottom and to the right of the battery;
   retry the connecting process.

- If the lock still does not show up on the HHD, make sure the lock was assembled correctly.
   The exterior handle switch needs to be aligned correctly. To confirm alignment,
   take the outside assembly (with card reader and/or keypad) off the door;
   check the back of the base plate to see if the 2 arrows (triangle shapes) are lined up
   pointing to each other; if not, line them up first and try connecting with the HHD again
