Why does the template for the 6211 read "Deadlatch not guaranteed on cylindrical applications"?

The deadlocking trigger on cylindrical locks is a small piece on the back of the latchbolt.

It is difficult to adjust the position of the lip of the strike to depress that trigger without preloading the lip of the strike, which will cause the strike to not lock/unlock properly.
