Why does the L9000 outside lever not unlock after egress and the thumbturn is hard to rotate?

Trim installation may be causing a bind especially on rose trim.  Remove the thumbturn and test operation.
Indicator if installed may cause binding if the indicator shaft is not cut down to the correct length (too long) especially if an ADA turn is installed.
 
If the above does not solve the problem then check for a bind in the lockcase.  Contact Product Support for assistance.
