Why does Schlage stamp Facility codes on the keys?

Allegion stamps a facility code on certain keys for restricted product account identification:

  • All keys in Falcon restricted key sections are stamped with a facility code.
  • All keys in Everest D, Everest B, Everest 29 T, or Everest 29 R key sections are stamped with a facility code.
  • All Everest C or Everest 29 S key sections are stamped with a facility code if they are also Primus.

For all of the above blanks, cut keys, and master keys will have a facility code stamped on them.  If customer does not want the facility code stamped on their keys, the should state “DO NOT STAMP FACILITY CODE ON KEYS” on their purchase order.
