Why does an AD or CO lock get a low indication battery when installed?

If the indication is red 9 times on the right side of the Schlage button, the coin cell may be low or the coin cell insulator was not removed.

If the indication is red 9 times on the left side of the Schlage button, the AA batteries are weak.

Replace AA batteries or the coin.

Remove plastic insulator film from below the coin cell.
