Why does a Chexit device blink once then powers down?

If Chexit device LED blink once when you turn the unit on, the External inhibit green wire is not by passed or not connected to the access control normally closed contact.

For devices shipped after 8-24-2015 with motor driven connect the green wire to the red wire of the twelve field wire connector cable of the Chexit device if you are not using the access control option.  If access control is used connect the normally closed access control contact between green and red of the same cable.

For devices shipped prior to 8-24-2015 with solenoid driven connect the green wire to the white  wire of the ten wire connector cable of the Chexit device if you are not using the access control option. If access control is used connect the normally closed access control contact between green and white or green and red of the same cable.
