Why can't I get a Mortise Deadbolt option on an ON-LINE Classroom (70) or Office (50) lock?

The Mortise Dead is not offered on AD-Series ON-LINE Classroom (70) or Office (50)
When ordering ON-LINE locks, Storeroom, Classroom, Apartment, and Private options determine the switches assembled in the ON-LINE LOCK.
The real function and type of operation of the ON-LINE locks is determined by the Access Control Panel. ON-LINE locks are managed by controller software.

When an ON-LINE AD-Series lock is in passage the outside lever always retracts the deadbolt and the latch.
Passage and secure for an ON-LINE lock,is determined by the Access Control Panel.
Throwing the Mortise Deadbolt on a ON-LINE lock extends the deadbolt and signals the ACP.
It is the ACP that must change the state of the ON-LINE lock from passage to secure to inhibit the outside lever.
Some Access Control Panels do not respond to deadbolt state changes, and throwing the MD would give the USER a false sense the door is locked.

To determine if your Access Control Panel software company supports the Mortise Deadbolt to secure on AD-Series AD-300 and AD-400 check this LIST.
If this list says YES for the Mortise Deadbolt column, the vendors recent ACP software will issue the lock a secure command when the deadbolt is thrown, securing the outside lever.
Credential access will still be granted in secure; but the lock is not in passage mode.
