Why Can't I Connect My Schlage Encode Lock to a Google Nest Router?

Connecting Schlage Encode series locks to a Google Nest Mesh Network can sometimes be challenging. To resolve this issue, you can try creating a guest network in the Google Home app. This guest network will have its own dedicated network name and Wi-Fi password. Once the guest network is set up, attempt to pair your lock with it.

To Set up a Guest Network:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Tap Favorites and then Wi-Fi and then Network settings and then Guest Network.
  3. Turn on Guest network.
  4. Enter a network name and password for your guests to use.
  5. A password is required for Guest networks.
  6. Choose a name and password that is different from your main Wi-Fi network.
  7. Under “Shared devices,” select any devices you would like your guests to be able to use.
  8. Tap Save.
