Where can I find hurricane ratings for Schlage and Falcon?
There are several Schlage and/or Falcon locks that have been tested and approved for this application.
For Commercial use the locks have been tested and approved as assemblies with Steelcraft Manufacturing hollow metal doors and frames. Refer to Section 6.1 of the Steelcraft Tech Data Manual lists products approved for hurricane resistant openings. This section, titled Hurricane Resistant Openings, can be found by clicking here and looking under 'Downloads' tab. In this section under "Hurricane Resistant Approvals" there are referenced documents called NOA #'s (Miami Dade County Notice of Acceptance) and FL #'s (Florida Building Codes). These documents will list the lock series and the opening sizes of what was tested along with the design pressure it meets.
