What would cause the GF3000 to be hot?

First make sure the control module is installed and the DC power is correct.

Confirmed no AC leakage - turn meter to ac should measure 0.  some switching power supplies give ac on the dc and that makes the magnet heat up

Most common reason for "HOT" is they don't have the actual control module installed
