What was the difference between the Kim and Sutro lever for the M lock?

The Falcon M lock had 2 lever styles that were very similar in appearance; the Kim and Sutro, both levers were dimensionally the same.
 
The Kim lever was lighter, hollow brass, bronze or stainless material with a plug on the end of the lever while the Sutro is a brass, bronze or stainless tube with an aluminum filled core.
