What template should I use with a 99 device and AD-400 trim on a wood door?

In most cases, when using a Schlage Electronics AD or CO Series 993 Exit Device Trim with a Von Duprin 98/99 Series Exit device, use the Exit Only (EO) Exit Device Template combined with the appropriate Schlage Electronics AD or CO Series 993 Trim template.

Because Von Duprin does not have Exit Only (EO) Wood Door Templates for 98/99 Rim and 98/9927 Surface Vertical Rod devices, the NL template can be used to determine the backset of the Exit Device when combined with the appropriate AD or CO Series 993 Exit Device Trim.  Note that the AD and CO Series 993 Exit Device Trims are not compatible with the 98/9947WDC or 98/9950WDC Exit Devices.
