What should I do if the CT5000 USB cable gets disconnected during a firmware update?

If the SUS has not timed out (only a few seconds), simply reconnect the USB cable. Firmware update should resume on its own.

If the SUS has timed out (after a few seconds), do the following:

  1. Reconnect the USB cable;
  2. When communication has been re-established, Select "Device Options" at the bottom of the Schlage Utility Software application MAIN screen;
  3. Tap "Firmware Update" (this should be the only menu choice available);
  4. Select the appropriate firmware package and then the CT5000 firmware file from the list;
  5. Tap "OK" at the bottom of the screen;
  6. If the resulting dialog box shows the CT5000 firmware will be uploaded, tap "Yes" to start the firmware update process;
