What Power Supply is required for Emergency Secure Lockdown (ESL) devices?

The Emergency Secure Lockdown (ESL) option can be used with 98/99 and 33A/35A Series Exit Devices with the QEL electric latch retraction featuer to disable the QEL feature.

The Power Supply required for a QEL-ESL device depends on the number of devices in the opening (Single Door v Pair of Doors) and if the opening is Fire Rated or not.

Panic Rated Openings

  • Single doors - PS902-4R
  • Double doors - PS904-4R-4R (yes, this application requires 2 each 900-4R boards)

Fire Rated Openings (requires that power be dropped to QEL devices during a fire alarm condition)

  • Single doors - PS902-4R-FA
  • Double doors - PS904-4R-FA-4R-FA (yes, each 900-4R board needs its own 900-FA board)
