The UBC (Uniform Building Code) was a regional legacy building code which was superseded in most jurisdictions by the IBC (International Building Code). There may be some areas of the country which still reference or enforce the UBC as a their local building code, although it is not widely used any longer.
UBC 7-2 (previously published by UBC) was one version of the fire test for Fire Door Assemblies which was required by the Uniform Building Code. UBC 7-2 was the first fire test method in the United States to employ positive pressure during the test. With the adoption of the IBC, test method UBC 7-2 has been revoked and replaced by UL10C (published by Underwriters' Laboratories') and NFPA 252 (published by The National Fire Protection Agency).ASTM-E152 was the original United States test for Fire Door Assemblies and was superseded by a UL10C and NFPA 252.
