What is the power output of a 4600 operator?

The 4600 Series operator has both a 12VDC and 24VDC output rated at 1A (combined load) to power strikes, maglocks, and other devices, but an EL device "always" has to have a separate PS914-2RS Series power supply.


Wiring for "Fail Secure" strike:


  • Connect (-) lead of strike to terminal 2.

  • Connect (+) lead of strike to terminal 23.

  • Connect a (Jumper) wire from terminal 3 to 22 (for 24VDC), or from 5 to 22 (for 12VDC) strike.

Wiring for "Fail Safe" strike or maglock:


  • Connect (-) lead of strike to terminal 2.

  • Connect (+) lead of strike to terminal 24.

  • Connect a (Jumper) wire from terminal 3 to 22 (for 24VDC), or from 5 to 22 (for 12VDC) strike.

Wiring for "Fail Secure" EL device (Von Duprin):


  • Connect terminal 22 to the "SC" terminal of the Von Duprin 900 Series power supply.

  • Connect terminal 23 to the "I1" terminal of the Von Duprin 900 Series power supply.

  • Connect the EL device to the "O1" and "GND" terminals of the Von Duprin PS914-2RS Series power supply.
