What is the part number for the Von Duprin E996L solenoid?

Note that the solenoid driven E996 Electrified Trim was discontinued December 11, 2023 and replaced by the motor driven M996 Electrified Trim that had been launched in 2020.

The E996 solenoid (labeled 991342) was replaceable.

24V:  part number  050671 E996 Blocking Mechanism Kit or 050814 (solenoid only)

12V: part number 050898 (solenoid only)

Reference Section 1 of the Von Duprin E996L Electric Locking Trim Installation Instructions (NEW) (2019) for details on how to get to and replace the E996 solenoid or Blocking Mechanism.
Be sure that the wires are routed properly as shown in Figure 1.5 to ensure that the Blocking Mechanism moves smoothly.

These E996 parts have been discontinued and are not available from Allegion/Von Duprin.

If the solenoid needs to be replaced, consider converting the solenoid driven E996 Trim to the motor driven M996 Trim using the following kits;

• For 996L/L-BE-R/V trims used with 98/99 Rim or Vertical Exit Devices - 47273111
• For 996L-L-BE-M trims uses with 98/9975 Mortise Exit Devices - 47273112
