Latch sold separate:The 13-049 latch can not be sold separately due to UL requirements. The complete lock must be purchased in order for it be UL listed including RMA request for latch only replacements. Lock sold less latch: According to Engineering the 13-049 latch is the only allowed latch available with the ND electric locks. If a customer wants to use a different latch they can but it will negate the UL listing.
Electrified latch highlights: The 13-049 is used exclusively on the electrified ND locks. A label is placed on the latch as well as a different backplate to signify that the entire lock has been approved by UL to meet a 3-hour fire rating.
