What is the maximum door thickness a Rim cylinder can fit on?
Standard Schlage rim cylinders will fit a total thickness of door and projecting trim of 3 inches, this includes a minimum of 3/8" of engagement of the tailpiece into the exit device. See image below.
Falcon rim cylinders follow the same dimension limits.
Projecting Trim Thickness + Door thickness + 3/8" = Total Thickness. (Cannot be greater than 3")

For total thickness measurements larger than 3 inches see the special cylinder offerings in the Schlage Pricebook. Specify the part number and include the total thickness. We do not offer the longer tailpiece as a separate part.
