What is the Fob's expected battery life for the Safe School CO220 lock?

The coin cell battery in the fob is documented as having up to a two year battery life.

- Two year battery life is based on an expected (100 uses) during a 365 day year

- Each use is defined as a (2 second) press and hold of the fob button to place the lockeset into lockdown and the (20 second) press and hold of the fob button to release the lockset from Lockdown

NOTE: The battery life will vary accordingly based on the use of the fob; more uses will cause the battery life to be less than the expected two years and less use will extend the battery life beyond the expected two years.

NOTE: The fob has no way (audible or visual) to communicate to the customer that the battery is getting low, except that a paired lock does not respond

It is recommend that the coin cell battery in the CO220 fob be replaced on an annual cycle.

Replacement coin cell batery is: CR 2032.
