What is the difference between the latches for Falcon B101 and B301 locksets?

The Falcon B series has two sets of springlatches, and they are labeled for use with B101 or B301.

B301 latches have an extra slot at the end of the T bar which facilitate the restoring feature.  If you install a B101 latch with a B301 lockset, it will not unlock when someone closes the door.

The  B101 latch is on the left, the B301 is on the right.  In a projected state, the latches look nearly identical.

The B101 latch is on the left, the B301 is on the right.  When latch bolts are depressed the extra slot on the B301 latch can be clearly seen.  This extra slot allows for the restoring feature on the B301.
