What is the difference between the old 4041 standard cylinder and the 4040XP standard cylinder?

The 4041 Std cylinder closer was changed to the 4040XP back in Aug of 2011.  The closers are backwards compatible/direct retrofits.

Please Note that if you have an old 4041 delay cylinder that you would still order a 4041 delay cylinder as the 4040XP closer does not have a delay cylinder option.
